was it the '99 that had the higher coils then the other 3rd gens?
was it only the coils?
certain model? sr5,limited, etc.

if i found a 99 at the junkyard and wanted to go see if i can move the suspension over to my 97 because of the taller stance what parts of the suspension should i take? coils only? shocks? anything else?

yes it was only the 99. not all of them had the tall coils. i think it was just the "highlanders" aka sport. the limited might have had them too but i'm not sure.

As I understand it, you can find them in any '99 model, but only the Highlanders had them standard.

gotcha. that makes more sense. however i do know that not all 99's had them.

Based upon my research to put '99 springs on my Wife's '97, if your '99 truck came from the factory with 15" rims, you got the shorter springs.
If your '99 truck came from the factory with the 16" rims, you got the taller springs.
