R150F and R151F compatibility

I’m looking to replace all bearings and seals on my R150F transmission. Everything I’ve seen talks about how they’re basically the same thing but with different 1 & 2 gear ratios. That being said, would a bearing/seal kit for a R151F work to replace the ones on a R150F? I’m asking because the only bearing and seal kit I can find is for a r151f.

That's a loose answer, though.

You will have better luck on the Marlin Crawler forum for this question. R series experts over there..

Best I can remember, the 151 gear set is simply girthier than the 150, and the 1st gear is super low.

If you head over to the marlin boards, you may want to inquire about R154 bearing upgrades (caged bearings etc)-- not sure if all of that is applicable to a 151, but they'll know how to make your trans bulletproof.

Here is the correct bearing kit for the 96+ R150F transmissions. I also bought synchros from Cobra Transmission. I have not rebuilt my trans yet, but I have a huge stack of parts
