Hey guys!
Im shane, im 22 and I just picked a completely stock 2001 Toyota 4runner, only my second vehicle I have yet to own(well 3 now i think about it. I have a 65 nova, but it doesn't run lol). So far I'm in love with it!
I bought this car for a few reasons.
First, Ive always loved them. growing up my mom had a 88 4runner for a short period of time and had a spot for them ever since.
Second, because of my other vehicle...
A 94 Honda civic.
I Drag race, autocross, and next season I want to get into road racing/track days. The motor is Fully built making 353whp and this winter I plan on tearing into the motor so i can come back next season with at least 400whp.
The 4runner is awesome. Its exactly what i was looking for with only 97k miles and at the right price! Its not a limited but it has every option the limited came with besides the side molding on the doors. (which i think is ugly anyways). I love the 4wd for the winter when it snows and when i go up the mountains to go boarding. Cant forget to mention that it has the towing package that i plan on using to tow a pair of jetskie's behind it for summer fun! Oh and its so nice to be able to see over everything compared to a lowered honda!
The only plans for the 4runner right now are bigger tires (when these are worn down) and maybe a small lift. Only problems is that the front bumper (you can see in the pic) there is a rust hole in the bumper and needs to be replaced. plus the back lights in the factory stereo are burnt out. (can i replace the bulbs or should i just get a aftermarket stereo?)
