Rad Rubber Design engine splash guards

I have these Ebay ones on my truck Both of my original rears ones were brittle and broken. I did not change my front ones as they were still intact. I remember being impressed by quality of the rubber and thickness. I reused my old clips so I can’t speak to the ones provided. I will measure them when I get back home later today.

For what it’s worth the eBay ones are 2 mm in thickness. In any case they seem pretty solid to me. I guess time will tell.

Installed the eBay one. Clips are not the best quality. Two broken out of the bag, reused a few OEM ones. Rubber is of good quality.

The front left flap has more material than needed. Leading edge is too long or holes are closer spaced. Rest three pieces fit good.

Just installed RAD Rubber Designs splash guards. I had replaced the factory ones years ago using the DIY method I found on the forum and those did pretty well but I recently noticed one of them was missing from the passenger side front. I also found out what happens if you go wheeling before you figure out that it's missing.

The RAD Rubber guards are pricey compared to some you can find on eBay and Amazon, but the reviews are consistently stellar and Eddie immediately replied when I emailed a question, which shows how interested a company is in their customers. I also plan to keep this truck forever, so all things considered, I decided to spend the extra $ for the RAD Rubber. The materials (guards & fasteners) and directions are both terrific and IMO they're worth the cost.

I got a similar product from "Yota Liners" on Amazon

Amazon.com: Set of Four Splash Shields with Clips for 2003-2009 4Runner (Fender Liners, Aprons, Shields, Splash Guards, Skirts, Guards, Seals, Splash Seals) C : Automotive

I'm very pleased with what I received.

$70

Fast delivery and easy to install.

The clips are the generic push-pin splash-panel clips you can buy on the internet for $8 per 100 clips. Do yourself a favor whenver dealing with splash panel clips. DON'T TRY TO RE-USE THEM. Ten-cent clips are consumables. Buy a bag of them, and use a new one any time you need to re-install a spalsh panel of any sort.
