Rad Rubber Design Splash Guards

Wanted to give a plug/shout out to Eddie over at Rad Rubber Design, 4Runner – Rad Rubber Design – FJ Fender Flaps, Toyota Engine Splash Guards.

His business started by making splash guards for FJ's and over the years he's branched out to a bunch of other Toyota lines, including the 4R. Personally I love homegrown businesses like this and products that are USA made. Eddie also happens to be a cool guy.

Don't recall how I found out about the company, but when I saw Eddie was local and checked out the site I figured it was worth a shot..For those that don't know the factory splash guards are flimsy and have a tendency to rustle around in the wheel wells. Realized they were the source of the annoying sound I would hear at speed while driving around.

In addition to the Rad rubber splash guards being much more robust than the ones from the factory, they don't move around because of the use of vastly superior fasteners. On top of all that the pricing is reasonable, you're definitely not overpaying.

I ordered my set and intended to personally pick them up. Eddie promptly refunded my shipping. I also had a minor issue with the fitment of one of the driver's side splash guards. A quick trip over to Eddie's shop and he fixed it right on the spot, while at the same time correcting his template for future runs. He even installed the other ones for me. You can't beat that kind of service.

If you're in the market for some splash guards for your 4R or Taco, look no further..

Nice, thanks for the review. Where is his shop located? I’m in Jax as well and need to replace two of mine due to running over some wet paint in the road. How hard was it to replace them?

They’re very easy to replace.
The instructions are good. Fasteners are excellent.
The price is very good.
I had mine ship to Canada, and Eddie was very responsive with my email and shipping request.

Highly recommended!

I should note,

I put the sticker there. They are not branded or anything. They are a nice tasteful black like the passenger side photo shows.

I have no class, and it came with a decal, so I put it there. :D
I understand that’s not everyone’s cup of tea... I just wanted to clarify

He's over in Julington Creek, has a shop at his house and that's where I met him, but I think he has a bigger place as well..

They were really easy to swap out.

I put the sticker on the inside base of the liftgate so you can see it when it's open..

Installed mine about a year ago and are a vast improvement, especially since the cost is the same as getting the OEM replacements.
