I use a mirror tap. I'm no electrician, but it is really easy.

I found the area above the rearview has just enough room for the detector. Keeps my view unobstructed. I just cut and spliced the coiled cable and wrapped the wires around the mirror power. Works! And it was FREE (minus the detector)!!

Looks good, I have the same it was like a 30$ mount on amazon and looks so clean, I wired mine down the A pillar into fuse box

My valentine 1 suction cups wont stay stuck on the dot matrix, not sure how yours do...haha

If you can, move away from the dots. The dots can block some signal. Move to the left or right of the dots. A little lower too so you can utilize the rear antenna better as well. If too high, again you may block some signals coming from the rear..

I was curious if those dots would interfere with anything as well, but after driving around it's just as sensitive as before.

My dots are inside the glass, so the area is smooth.

I got mine off of eBay. It was cheaper.

I love it. I get better rear sensitivity because of the line of sight from the back window. Plus I no longer have to look up to view the V1.
