The Denso radiator will say Denso on it? FWIW, Denso is the OEM supplier, but what you are buying is not the same radiator that came from factory. It is a Taiwanese piece which is actually pretty good quality. I'm running one on my DD 96'. The packaging sucks though, so I would order from Amazon instead since their customer service is way easier to deal with.
The legit piece that came from factory is a totally different part number which costs $400+ if I recall correctly. I have still have the original one on my nice 96'. It will be getting one of those soon though.

I replace radiators every 5 years to avoid pink milkshake. I installed the most recent radiator in 2011 and is a generic brand. So technically even a generic radiator will also be fine. But this time I want a name brand.

Just a bump and update in case anyone comes along wondering about Denso radiators. I ordered one last week off eBay for $95. Radiator was packaged well and appeared to be in good shape upon arrival. Drain cock was slightly different that the OEM radiator on the truck, but otherwise looked identical.
I put it in my 2000 SR5 a few days ago and yesterday noticed that it was leaking coolant somewhere in the aluminum coils or plastic housing. Frustrating.
I decided to just buy locally for the 2nd replacement and bought one at Advanced Auto for $105 which comes with a lifetime warranty. That way if this issue happens again I can just bring it to a store and get a new one. Radiator is installed and seems to be doing the job.
Just something to consider when replacing bulky parts that might need to be shipped back to a distant warehouse.

Lately I have been using rockauto.com for new/rebuilt parts but always compare part numbers/prices with Amazon. They are $92 on the Denso radiator but $22 shipping to my address. You can soften the blow on the shipping if you order multiple parts at one time and there is always a 5% discount code floating around. Also, I have shipped caliper cores back to them for refund and that has worked out fine.

I realize that this is a talk on Denso. But I have used TYC which I believe is connected to KOYO who makes radiators for Lexus. And Spectra has been problem free for me as well. Both can be found at rockauto.
Plus if you get a damaged part, rockauto pays to ship it back to them. They are a great company to deal with.

I replaced my rad last year with an Amazon TYC rad. It was delivered quickly and no shipping damage. It was one of the easiest installs I have ever done on my truck (no rusted bolts).
Strangely enough, the reason I had to change mine was due to the upper tank leaking. I noticed the smell of hot antifreeze everytime I parked and was really worried about the heater core leaking, turns out it was just the seal around the top tank.

I've got a Denso on my '99 Hilux Surf. My first one arrived from Rock Auto with the overflow nipple damaged (which I didn't notice until I had already installed the new one). I modified it with NPT gas line to get by. Because I modified it, Rock Auto would not warranty a replacement. So I don't buy from Rock Auto anymore! I was pretty pissed off.
Second rad from Amazon arrived in perfect condition and has been working great.
Make sure you inspect it upon arrival if you order online!

Maybe I just dealt with the wrong guy at rockauto, but they totally lost me as a customer. I ordered a set of front brake pads for a Ford Ranger and got a set that looked like they were made for a Mack truck. They were huge! I double checked that I had ordered the right part and then called them to get a return approval. I ended up sending them back on a rockauto prepaid UPS label, but later discovered they deducted the return shipping cost from my refund. I called and explained that the part received was not the part ordered and stated that I shouldn't be expected to pay for their mistake. I got nowhere on the matter and haven't ordered from them since.

16410-YZZAJ, lists for 289.32, bought for 231. camelback has them for 208+. i needed it right away and it was local, otherwise, i would have ordered it from them.
