Radiator Question

[Dutch-Runner '99]

So I'm looking at replacing my radiator soon at 150K along with my timing belt, water pump, ect... What brand of radiators are you guys getting to do this? Also, should I get a single core or dual core radiator? Its for a 1999 SR5 Automatic.

Im at 311k miles on the original unit but when mine goes ill likey use a CSF radiator. They have served me well in the past and they are inexpensive.

Also you might consider separating your transmission fluid from the radiator into its own little heat exchanger to avoid any chance of the pink milkshake...search it.:

Yeah, I've read through all of the arguments for /against the separate intercooler and I've decided against it. Its not necessary with what I'm planning on doing.

Ya don't need to worry about another long and grueling thread..... I just needed a few leads to follow so I'm not completely guessing at what radiator to buy.

A dual core (or more ) rad will cool better. An external trans cooler will be better period. Loose the trans cooler built into the rad.
