Radio Interference!!

So every time i want to play music i use my aux cable and for some reason, i keep getting weird noises with the aux plugged in. When i stop the music, the hissing goes away and comes back soon as i hit play. Any Advice??

To narrow it down, try another cable and then try another program source (phone, mp3, whatever.) That should tell you something.

Any chance you are using a headphone type cable instead of a shielded input cable? That would do it.

i think its my new GS4, because ive never had this problem before. I also tried 2 other cables and i got the same results. Guess i'm gonna have to get a head unit that will play music via Bluetooth.

you only get the hissing when on AUX? no hissing on radio or a CD?

Is it a whining sound that goes up and down with RPMs? If so it could be ground loop like I had and fixed with this cable:
