Radio question - PWR

I am not an audio guy so this may be simple since I am aware head units push out power to the speakers via an internal amp.

I want this speaker setup (1700 version) 4runner - OEM Audio Plus

And the new cheaper halo9 259 that came out this year. Alpine iLX-F259 Digital multimedia receiver — a 9" touchscreen that fits in a DIN dash opening (does not play CDs) at Crutchfield.com

The question is will my additional amp and the head units power out screw up my speakers or burn something up? The additional power from the amp is what I dont know anything about or how it all works and since the oem is plug and play and the halo9 is not, I dont know if its compatible without some special setup.

If your using aftermarket radio, might be cheaper to do a decent amp and speaker from another brand.
You might end up spending the same or less for some better equipment.
