Radio Question:

I have a 2011 SR5, I've had it about a month. It has the Bluetooth and USB in the glove box. I'm actually really happy with my ipod nano in the glovebox.

I have my iphone connected via bluetooth as only the phone, not the player and actually like it like this.

Here is my question: Recently, the past few days, when I would turn the car off while I was playing the ipod and restart, the screen on the head unit would say that no BT was could be found or something like that, instead of returning to the ipod. It's kinda annoying and puzzling given that it didn't do this a week ago. Did i hit a button on accident?

Nope, the 5TH Gen radio just seems to be kinda screwy. Mine does the same thing with no logical reason. Sometimes it goes back to playing the Ipod, sometimes it does the BT thing you mentioned. I sometimes get ERROR messages when playing Ipod totally randomly as well. Ive even had the dealership replace the radio to solve the problem and it still does it. I think its just a crappy head unit.

Mine does it too on the odd occasion. I can't pinpoint why exactly but I think it seems to be the timing of when you last turned it off and then back on but we will see. I don't like it when I can't figure something out like this so I document it when it happens and look for a pattern. It has happened to me 3 times in 6K+ miles and every time it has been on a fairly quick restart of the electrical system. 3 times doth not make a pattern though so we will see.

That is interesting. Mine just started doing it. In the past month of owning it, I have had it start back where we left off, then on occasion, when restarting the vehicle it would default to XM (which i am fine with) to currently going to bluetooth audio, which annoys me.

Glad it's not just me experiencing it although I wish I was and it could be fixed.
