Radio station Changes automatically

I have an 03 4Runner with the JBL Synth. stereo. I now have 35k on it and now my radio stations change automatically. I will be driving down the road listening to 102.1 and it will change to 102.3 or 101.9. Is anyone else having this problem?

are you sure the "scan" radio feature it turned off? if not ive never heard of that one

Scan is off and am not hitting the buttons

I am certain the scan feature is off and I am not hitting the buttons. Notice it goes in .2 increments and not to another station. Does this on AM and FM also did this the other night while a cd is playing, just started jumping all around.

Then it sounds like one of the circuit boards inside is malfunctioning. If you can reliably reproduce the problem, you might want to take it in.

Warranty almost out

Figures this this would be happening to me with less than 1,000 miles left on the warranty. At least it didn't happen after it was out of warranty.

The condition I described below doesn't exactly match scoplin's condition, but I thought I'd share my symptoms and repair with you on the JBL system.

I have a JBL audio system as well. I must say I've never experienced stations changing intermittently, but I did notice the stereo have no sound a couple of times on cold mornings and then a few minutes later it would come on.

Toyota resolved this issue by replacing JBL amplifier. The TSB is AU003-03. The condition as stated on this TSB says that some customers may experience a condition where there is static noise from all channels of the audio system or no sound from the audio system. This condition usually occurs on cold mornings. Once the amplifier warms up, normal operation is restored. An improved JBL amplifier is available to address this condition.

here's another idea...remote control

I don't know if you have the rear-seat audio system with remote control, but if you do I would make sure the remote control buttons are not being accidently pressed. Just a thought....
