I'm interested in doing the same for my '04 SR5. Did you ever find out how to do this?
You can go on eBay and search for "toyota navigation oem". Many of them will fit but if you don't currently have one with Navi, you will also need an antenna. I would stay away from OEM navi because their map is so far behind but still very expensive to buy upgrade. If you have smart phone that's the way to go because your get the most current map.
If you want to stick with OEM units then the e7019 is the best option

Most OEM navigation units require you to have the JBL system to connect. So the e7019 is basically the latest one that doesn't. Good luck finding one for a reasonable price. It's possible but you've got to be patient. Many time they're not listed as the e7019 so you've just got to search ebay for Toyota Matrix navigation or Toyota Corolla navigation.

Thanks guys. It appears that securing an OEM unit with nav for a reasonable price is a bit challenging.
I may start looking in to aftermarket options at this point, although my main concern is having a head unit that does not match the rest of the vehicle.

Not sure what you mean by matching the rest of the vehicle but I'm thinking the Trim Ring? I'm using the best kit for the JBL. Here is the installed pic.

I would give up on the idea of staying toyota oem, you can get better, cheaper units that are far more up to date.

I did the OEM NAV and yes, if I had to do it again, I wouldn't. Especially today with all the features that newer HU have (music streaming, smart phone synching, TRAFFIC, HD radio, higher DEF screen, updated maps, better access to porn, etc, etc.............. i know i know, but wouldn't that be great???!! LOL).
OEM Toyota navs are going for $700-2000 on fleabay, so yeah, not really worth it. In fact, I'm thinking of taking out my E7009 for a new aftermarket NAV with all the toys. Pretty confident I can get about $700-900 for mine.

When I said I'd like it to match the rest of the vehicle, I'm basically looking to keep my 4Runner as stock as possible since I like all of the materials, lights, and fonts to match the rest of the vehicle. Call me a freak but I like things consistent.
I know that some aftermarket head units can look similar to the rest of the vehicle by having the same lights (i.e. amber instead of green), but ultimately it will look different than the rest of the vehicle. For me it's also a slippery slope since if install an aftermarket HU then I'll also want to get an amp, upgraded speakers and all of the other great stuff that costs more money!
However, as cookie pointed out I think the benefits of an aftermarket unit outweigh the costs!

What antenna do you need and how do you upgrade maps? I just purchased the OEM with navigation to replace my standard OEM. I have no idea what I'm doing...I did get it installed though and it's working, just not the navigation.
Also, can you connect a back up camera?

The navigation unit utilizes the smaller of the two male antenna leads behind the oem head unit. You need a paid Drive Connect subscription which will allow you to use the navigation features and map updates.
Personally I just use the navigation app on my phone via my aftermarket head unit utilizing the CarPlay feature for iPhone and Android.
