Well, Rago stepped up to bat and made what we all wanted. Something that uses the factory mounting points, comes pre-powder coated, and probably has a handle on customer support!

No price yet, but pre-orders will begin this week.

So other than making the cargo area amenable for prisoner transport, how does it work?

I've their ditch lights on order and looks like I'll be getting these also.
Might as well head on down to their HQ for their light bar mount too...
 
Saw this on Instagram. Looks like a great product especially for people looking for this. I don't know much about fabricating but the $300 price point seems pretty steep. It's all machine time which I know costs money but they just seem a little spendy.

Look at the size of that aluminum sheet (x2!). I think that's a great price.

EDIT- THESE ARE MADE OF STEEL, NOT ALUMINUM AS LawnDart ORIGINALLY STATED.

I think this is a great lesson in business. On one hand you had Orangeboxx who came up with it first but because their owner was pompous and treating customers like crap you now have another company in Rago ready to step up and provide a product to buyers. No doubt OBoxx lost a lot of customers by the way he rudely treated members on this forum. Rago now has a great opportunity to earn our business. The take away is that if you treat your customers like crap there will always be someone else ready to take customers from you.

Sliders don't require laser cutting. The machine time is also a lot less with sliders. Try building your own mounts and see how the machine time and economy of scale goes. I did this with the fire extinguisher mounts I designed and that's just one piece and it still cost 85 dollars per mount.

Great product + great service = shut up and take my money
