I’ve had this now for several months and just thought I’d give my opinion on it. I think rago makes great products and will continue to buy from them. This particular product I’m not a big fan of and may sell it at some point and upgrade to a real rack
First off, install was easy and straight forward, it seems sturdy enough and i actually like the factory look of it. However, there is very very little clearance between it and the top of the runner. I’ve adjusted it up as high as it will go and i can’t even get an entire finger underneath it. It makes it very very difficult to mount anything with bolts etc because you almost can’t even get a bolt underneath it. On several different occasions I’ve looked into mounting a stud for “max trax” to mount them and have come to the conclusion i just have to pull the rails off and put the studs in and remount. I personally am not a big fan of this. Some people may not care. rago does make a mount that moves the max trax to the vertical position hanging off the side, and also makes mounts for an awning. Those look to just bolt on. Again, they may good products, I just probably wouldn’t have bought this if I had known about the clearance underneath. Probably should have done a little more research.
