I don't know, but I'm not going to be putting things that are too heavy on it. Lighter weight recovery gear, maybe a first aid kit. There's the vertical piece that you can put quick fists on, so maybe I'll put an axe up there. It'll be kind of awkward to reach since it'll be from the back seat, though.

Well, I pulled down my panels and the shelf today. I decided to replace all the hardware except for the bolts at the very top. I think I'm going to take this opportunity to line some places with felt tape, too. I'm going to get up early in the morning and continue working on my overhaul project.

D-ring

Rago suggests the install of a Toyota oem d-ring on top bracket. Only
Problem is the oem bolt is too short for this install. Anyone installed a d-ring and what did you use for hardware.

30mm hex head. Sorry, don't remember the thread size...same as OEM bolt obviously.

Thanks, I just tried the Phillips head bolt that was removed from lower locations and found it was plenty long and same thread size as top bolt ( d-ring fit fine).

We had probably 50-60lbs up there. it's a very stout system. I'd load it up without much worry. I wouldn't put 2 50lb jerry cans up there, but we put an instant pot and 4 50L duffel bags up there for our Snow trip recently. I'd have no reservations about putting camping gear, tool bags, etc up there.

I think, realistically, if we end up with roof storage, where our duffels are up top, we'll probably use it as a shelf for 5 backpacks and our first aid kit.

Suffice it to say, we love ours, especially with the ICECO slide for our cooler.

Everyone needs a drawer system ots perfect for camping, sorry I mean overlanding.

It really is just 4 wheeling and camping unless you are a full timer

Early adopter here and it’s worth the money. Daily use I just have jackets up there, a baseball cap and some rain gear. My doggy gear goes up there too.

For camping, I put all kinds of stuff on that shelf.

Powder coat has held up well but I did line the shelf with drawer liner u find at Home Depot just because I had it lying around.

If u can stomach the price, it’s worth it

I just finally installed my second hand side panels and I'm curious what everyone's favorite mounting solutions are for paper towel holder, fire extinguisher, etc. Obviously anything designed for molle should work fine and bungee cords are always an option, but looking for suggestions for the non-conventional stuff. Thx

If i had to do it all over again, cheap molle pouches for everything, and I've moved away from mounting anything heavy mainly out of fear of what can happen in an accident.

I do still have a paper towel holder hard mounted using m6bolt, washer, and nut but I'm planning on removing since i rarely (as in never use it).
