Raising the front by 1 or 2 inches?

i just started doing things to my 4runner and was wondering what i should do if i want to raise the fron by 2 to 1.5 inches. leveling kit was ideal but id rather have springs or coils. Anyone know what would be the best option for just 2 inches. any help would be awesome

Depends on what you want to spend. I just read a thread the other day where a member put tundra trd coils front, ome coils rear and bilstein 5100 shocks all around. That's what I'll be doing. Cost is around $1000 (or less) and you get a mild lift with a progressive spring in the front for a smooth ride on road, while keeping the great performance off road.

Oh, and I'll say it nice, before someone else snarks you: there are a ton of threads on this topic, so be sure to use the search function and you'll find some great examples out there of what different people have done.

I'm right down the road from you in Opelika, welcome to the forum. OME is probably the best option to get what you want the first try.

I have 2000 4x4 tacoma front struts (OEM toyota Bilstein) and progresssive springs. Then I installed a 2 inch spacer (from ebay for $50) that sits between the frame and on the top of the strut. I got about 2 inch lift.

With tacoma progressive springs and Bilsteins..the front-end is as smooth as a car! I am planning to install OME 891's in the rear.
