Ramps and the fumoto valve

I have an 07 that I just bought used and I have an oil change question. For those that use ramps, is there any concern about the position of the vehicle in terms of draining all the oil if it is not level? Some vehicles this is a concern like my Corvette. I realize the 4R has a conventional oil pan and this is probably not an issue, maybe even better on a slight up angle, but I just wanted to ask.

For those who have installed a fumoto valve, is there a drainage issue? Again I suspect not, but it can happen. I have used the valve for many years on many vehicles including 230K miles on my 98 4R with great success, although on my wife's new CRV, due to the position of the plug, it did prevent some of the oil from draining so I do not use it, better to get the crud from the bottom of the oil pan out.

I have Fumoto valve and have changed oil every 3,000 miles, currently at 123,000 miles, without issues. With the position of the valve I'm believe I'm draining the last drops of oil.

But people have differing opinions about these valves.

Yes I did read the discussion about the Fram alternative. I have used the Fumoto valve for years - probably half a million miles on a dozen or so cars and trucks and have had nothing but good things to say. When I decided not to use the valve on the Honda, even though I used it (put it on and ran oil through it, then took it off) they took it back no questions asked.

One other question do you use the N version, or does the oil drain with the non-N version with no mess?

Thanks for the comments.

I have the version with the hose nipple. This nipple could interfere with the plastic cover in the skidplate but my plastic piece was ditched years ago.

It's so much quicker and cleaner to slide the oil pan under and just reach and open the valve.

Do you put a hose on the end?

One more question and thanks for the patience, wouldn't the 103 without the nipple work equally well without the clearance issue on the plate?

I had planned to do this but ended up not. You could put on a short tube of 2-3" perhaps, but it really doesn't need one.

I ramp my '08 and have no problems. Takes me 20 mins tops. Just picked up stuff today for another change. After a Dodge truck, which required a Russian gymnast to change filters, the top mounted filter in my runner makes me very happy!

My buddy has the valve listed above on his Tundra and he has no issues with it. I have the Fram valves on both my wifes Highlander and my 4Runner and have no issues with it on either vehicle. I have 85k on mine and 58k on my wifes car and love them. I just put the front of my truck up on the curb to get a little more clearance.
