Rancho RS9000XL.. thoughts?

have the 5000's on my Taco and there pretty ****ty. granted they are a completely different shock but im on my 4th set of front shocks in less than 3 years. i would say go Bilstein 5100

I have 9000's on my 84, and I use it for rock crawling, so I guess I'm "rocking" them. They're adequate for my use, not fantastic but not crappy either.

anyway, they just dont ride that amazing and they break easily. but i also have a spacer lift on the front and sometimes like to think im long traveled.

I have the Rancho Quick Lift coils newly installed in my 02 4Runner. I can't say yet whether I like them or not. Set around 5, they are soft and bouncy. Set at 7 they are kind of stiff.
Seems like they would be good for rock crawling, at slow speeds they work great if not a little soft. At higher speeds I don't care for them much. There's a little more body roll than I expected.
I don't know for sure yet if it is because the springs are still settling, or if it's because I haven't done the rear yet. I would use the 9000s in the rear if I could find a part number for them with a lift. I am looking at getting some OME 906s for the rear. They are a 2" rear coil and the fronts are 1.75". My front is 2.5" taller than before I took out the old ones, so I don't know how much sag I had before and how much lift I actually got over stock. I hope they settle soon or I may just do the diff drop to be safe.

I know this is an old post but how did you end up liking them? I also have an 02 and am looking into this setup. Did you really gain 2.5 up front? I'm looking for a 2" lift and was expecting to be forced to add a small spacer to the quicklift to achieve that. Thanks
