Random VCS, Trac Off, and Check Engine Lights

The VCS, Trac Off, and Check Engine lights come on and go off randomly. All three light up and all three go off at the same time, but does not affect performance at all. Has anyone had this issue before?

Head to Autozone, tell dude to grab scanner and come outside with you to pull code. Report back. Very common issue which is very easy to fix -- usually.

When there is an engine code, all three lights will appear. It's kinda silly, cause the vsc gets disabled just for a check engine light, even though there is nothing wrong with the vsc system. Note: if there is a transmission code, the check engine light will appear by itself, no vsc lights will illuminate.

This is not quite true, the only time I have ever seen the TRAC & VSC lights go on with a check engine light is for P0420.. Which the OP has.

OP, change your O2 sensors.

I had mine come on for p0304...cylinder 4 misfire. All three lights illuminated. Fixing it turned them all off.
However, I am still wrong by saying that they come on for every check engine light code ever. They don't, AFAIK all three will illuminate for any gas/air problems, including the gas cap code (which I solved for a friend...who again had all three lights.)

I agree with changing the oxygen sensors. Use OEM only, best prices can be found on Amazon.

I have replaced cats and 02 sensors, and my lights are still on and still get the P0420 code...any other ideas?
