Rapid clicking under dash

I have a 2003 V8 T4R Limited. In damp weather the truck will make a rapid clicking noise that seems to be coming from under the dash. If conditions are right it will do this even when it is not running. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

Can you try and get a video or sound clip? Can you compare the noise to something that will help us understand what you're hearing?

I have am 03 SR5 V8 and I get the clicking occasionally as well. It hasn't happened for a while and never when it wasn't running. I have a trailer brake unit installed and thought that that was what was making the noise. Do you have one too?

It should just be the traction control. When I'm off pavement and a tire starts to slip there's clicking in the dash while the traction control switches power around to the wheels with traction. Have you noticed it cutting your power while this is happening?

I believe I've read on this forum that it's supposed to do that. I think it might have something to do with the brake hold feature/traction control? Mine does it as well, my runner was clicking a lot when we got some snow and ice this past winter. It will also do it if you're at a stand still on a steep slope and try to go too fast up the hill upon takeoff, or try and go into drive from reverse too quickly.

its the tractions control and abs relays ... the relays are very old fashion but at the same time exrtreamly reliable

Thanks for all of your replies. I'm sure it isn't the traction control or ABS relays I've heard that noise before. Also I don't have a trailer brake so that isn't it either. There has never been any loss of power associated with the clicking noise, I'll try to get a sound clip like NJshadow93 suggested, only it is a little unpredictable as to exactly when it will happen, which of course makes diagnosing the problem that much more difficult. Thanks again.
