I took the rig out and tested it on some real terrain for the first time since a bunch of new front end parts and lift. For information and diagnosis sake it has:
-New shocks (5100's), new springs (Eibach), new Light Racing UCA's and UBJ's, Toyota factory new LBJ's
- I recently removed the front sway bar completely to see what it would drive like.
CV's need to come off and be rebooted because they're torn and flinging grease everywhere. Tie rod ends appear to be original.
In 4wd (HI and low) when the steering wheel is approaching full lock, such as with making a hairpin, there is a rapid loud click from the passenger side front end. Sounds like it's originating at the wheel. I don't recall it from the driver's side. With the wheels straight there is no noise. I grabbed the top of the tire and gave it a good hard shake and there isn't any play with the suspension loaded.
My concern is the hubs in the front going out. The hubs are factory original as far as I know which puts them at about 160k miles.
Any help would be appreciated!
