I have a rattle from underneath .. I thinks it’s from the muffler section almost sounds like it’s from inside the muffler .. possible? Any ways one day I just hear a loud ping like something fell idk just a loud ping.. now it rattles pretty loud when I accelerate ... any ideas?

I have a similar noise and confirmed it's inside the muffler. Bang on the pipe with a rubber mallet at varying force levels and eventually I'll hit the sweet spot and hear the noise. Sounds like a baffle broke off and is rattling around inside. No exhaust leak, so I'm just ignoring it. At 206K miles on the factory muffler I can't really complain.

I also had a rattle coming from my muffler. Turned out to be the joint between the muffler (big oval component, not the resonator) and the outlet pipe leading to the resonator.

pretty soon your muffler tailpipe will break off. seems pretty common. ive welded it back a couple times but wont last forever. last time i just removed the entire tail pipe then stuck a turn down pipe in the back of the muffler. if i replace exhaust manifolds then i will prolly replace entire exhaust
