Rausch Creek trip anyone?

I installed a Daystar kit. 1.5" rear and whatever the front would be. Also installed 275's. I wheeled mine stock for three days in a row. I was dragging but nothing serious. Did stick w greens and stayed off the blues.
Doing blues next time I take it up there.

I installed daystar 2.5/1.5 kit, fuel tank skid (the LE only has a half skid stock), and sliders with my LE rocker panel molding trimmed. I only did the 101 class and a green guided ride as these were my first two times wheeling. I rubbed the FT skid on one steep breakover (just dirt) and that was it. Taking it "as fast as you can, and as slow as you must", was a key principle from the 101 and important to avoiding trail damage and using the skids more than needed.
Now, the other weekend at the Cove with the same setup...well that was just downright challenging. Supposedly a green...which managed to mingle with blacks...somehow I only popped my bumper from the wheel well clips, in terms of damage. Sliders were put to good use.
As many have said before; you'll be amazed what these vehicles will do stock.

Got the green light from the tower to wheel on 12\17. I'm meeting another 4Runner up there. We will do greens and a few blues.

Nope, you've got the wrong guy Dave! I couldn't make your 12\17 trip. I posted for 1/15, and have one person in that group so far.
Do you guys use walkie talkies up there or what?

RC is worth the trip. There's a few hotels near by and a few campgrounds that rent cabins also. Gore (the cove) is closer to you and I've wheeled there before a few times. Great trails, but if ya wanna do greens and your trail buddies do blues, you really can't wheel together. RC is green trails w all blues blacks and reds branching off of the greens. When my buddies hit the hard stuff I jump in a rig or go down the green trail a ways n meet back up.

Think a stock sr5 will make it through the greens there?

Yes it will. Wheeled there a few times bone stock. I did drag a differential a few times n some of the skid plates earned their keep. With the 2.5/1.5 spacer lift n 275 tires, I didn't drag or hit anything underneath. If you are ever interested in heading up, let me know. I'll go along.

JANUARY 1st we're headed up to Rausch Creek. My buddy with a modded Taco and another friend with a new Wrangler Rubicon Hardrock will be joining me.
MOB TOWN will be wheeling with us as well. Here's your chance to meet the guys from the shop and check out their rigs. They will be releasing 4th Gen armor in 2017!!!
