Only went offroad 5% of the time, and only 1% of that time, I needed 4x4. I had the opportunity of get a 4R at a small discount, so with the Boss's approval, I went with it.

Here is the truck:

Picked up the 4R today (10/31/15)... bought the PRO rims from the dealer, and had them swap right away. Next up was a tire swap over to the 275/70/17 KO2s.

I do like the front grill of the T4R PRO.. Some $$, but I like it a lot..

Since the cover went on, I thought I may as well try and spray the lower piece. I tried the first time to dip it on the truck, but the line came off bad... I decided to take the piece off, and dip it separate.. Did the rear as well..

The the Front Runner Roof rack came in. I did get the 8" extended version. It covers the sun roof by a bit, so the wind deflector needed to go on the 2nd plank rather than the front one.. Have a little bit of rattle coming from the sun roof... Have some rubber stripping coming from Front Runner to see if that cures it.. Other wise, I'll try and move the deflector to the front and see if that makes a difference. No rattle when the moon roof is even cracked.. I think it is the wind hitting the rack, then bouncing off the glass.. Will update as I do some R&D... If you don't have the sunroof, you would have ZERO problems with the extended version.

I guess I'm glad I started a build thread, cause didn't for the Tacoma and wish I remembered what it looked like stock.. lol..

Rcok Sliders

Glad to see you have plans to ditch those running boards and install rock sliders. Those running boards are damage enhancers.

Where did you find the TRD Trail Edition sticker? My TE has no badging to indicate it's the TE.

A friend of mine made them custom... he will do them for $10 for 3. I'll get a close-up pic uploaded...

Had a friend make me a custom bracket for a blue sea fuse and a bussman breaker. Compressor is in the main, and some rigids will be added soon..

Yea.. had a friend make me the fuse bracket.. I'll take some better pictures over the thanksgiving weekend. Has a bracket on the bottom, and a plate on top which screws unto the bracket. I got my power wires and terminals, just waiting for the crimper and the shrink then I'll connect it up.

At first, I was going to run the ARB twin off of it.... until I realized that it is gonna run like a 60A fuse.. lol... will probably connect it to the back side of the breaker for a little protection.....

Possibly... I'll ask him...

Well ARB Twin came in last night... that thing is a whopper (just under 20lbs).. I need to grab some terminal rings later today. All the other stuff (4 gal crimper / heat shrink) will come in the mail tomorrow night.

Guess my Thanksgiving, and black friday will be fun...

Sliders and Weathertech window deflectors come next week and getting installed the following weekend.. then slowing down... Just gotta save save up for the lift...
