RCI Front Skid ?

For those who Have a RCI Front Skid are you happy with it, and how has it held Up? Looks like some quality workmanship. Thanks

Very good quality, very stout and mine's taken a beating and held up great. You really can't go wrong with one piece or a complete set.

I love mine. I have the front, and transmission plates right now. Getting ready to order the lower A-Arm skids and rear shock protectors. RCI is a great choice.

I'm running their entire set on my 4Runner and it holds up damn well.

I run the filler plate, the front plate, and the trans plate. Good quality thick metal that holds up very well. Mine are steel, not aluminum. If you can get it for 100 or less go for it.

Happy with mine. If you have the V8 it does make getting the oil filter out without making a gigantic mess everywhere a challenge. I suppose that's the case with most aftermarket skids.

I have the full set minus the front LCA skids and rear diff skid on my v6. Oil changes are a synch as Josh left a hole directly underneath the oil pan, and the skids are all rock solid. Took some pretty good hits last time at Rausch and while the paint and powder coating is scratched, the metal doesn't have so much as a mark. I'd recommend these without hesitation.

I was going to ask about this, I was looking into the RCI but was worried about this, may have to go budbuilt as the front part similar to the stock skid comes off where the filter is

Landing this, which I completely bottomed out on the skid, on to hard pan, caused no damage to the truck or the skid except loss of paint.

i love my aluminum. i did break a weld on it at the jamboree, but they said it would be no problem to warranty it. i just ya know gotta warranty it.....

oh and the oil filter with the V8 is a straight running C***. oil everywhere, EVERYWHERE :smashputer: but i do love it i really do. just like you love a redheaded stepchild
