Re-charged my AC…

Forum Newbie - AC Charge

I am new to the site and just recently purchased a 2004 4x4 limited 4.0L. Trying to play catch up on maintenance items to include topping off the AC system. The system cools okay but not like others have reported here = with outside temp at 76 F could not get a vent reading less than 62F on lowest setting and fan on high. Compressor stays on all the time in this mode but then cycles on/off every 10 to 15 seconds as you raise the temp. Also, saw bubbles in the site glass so I decided to top off using AC Pro.
Having fear of overcharging I stopped after about 10z and very little if any increase in PSI. The bubbles went away but it now appears a little cloudy as opposed to clear. The lowest temp reading is now 52 F and cycles on/off as before. So my questions are:

The PSI when engaged is 24-30, but when it disengages it crepes in the red to 90 - is this okay? Can I ignore the readings when clutch not engaged?

Could I have over charged given the site class is no longer clear, albeit with bubbles before I charged it?

Will the site glass clear up after running it for a couple days?
 
My bad, I was thinking of charging into an evacuated system in a vacuum through the hi side port. Has to go in liquid when you do it that way. Sorry about the confusion.

Actually with new blends these days the only way to correctly charge a system is with liquid. Older blends like r22 r12 r500 are fine to charge as vapor because they are single compositions. newer refrigerants are blends that have different boiling points so to charge it correctly is in liquid form slowly into the suction side of the compressor slowly to let your gauge set act as a metering device and flash the liquid into a gas to prevent slugging or compressor "scramble".

I just installed a Mitsubishi VRF system that between all the outdoor units combined needed 140lbs of R410A, and because its a blend I had to charge as liquid.

Another site we have a York air cooled chiller that makes ice at night to use for chilled water during the day, after a repair we had to recharge with 135lbs of 134a, also going in with liquid.

It all just depends on what type of refrigerant is being used
