Rear ABS Harness routing - drop gas tank?

I need to replace the rear ABS harness on a 2002 4WD 4Runner - the one that runs from the left rear seat floor to the rear axle - it also plugs into the evaportative sensor near fuel door. It looks like the routing is over the fuel tank. Is there anyway to replace the harness without dropping the gas tank?

Any help or advice is appreciated - the tank bolts have been there 15 years and I'm not anxious to replace them all.

Well, it doesn't actually go over the tank. It goes along the frame, over the cross-brace, then gets a clip on top of the shock mount on the left side, then it splits. One side goes along the upper control arm to the wheel sensor and the other goes to a similar clip on the right side.

Here is a pic from my frame swap and you can see it. What you need to do is find the bottom side--the two little prongs--sticking through the shock mount plate, and squeeze those together and get that clip loose. Then maybe you can go up between the tank and the inside frame rail and get that clip loose. Pass the end of the harness through the hatch over the tank and maybe you can do it.

Or just drop the frame like I did

I don't have that evap sensor on my '99 so I can't help with that part.

Thanks guys, I have it all loose now, I lowered the tank a few inches and was able to reach the first mounting peg through the hole in the floor, then pushed the rest of the pegs out so now all I need to do is pull the new one back through tomorrow and put it back together. Biggest pain was all the rust flakes that kept falling down and the two bolts that broke off the tank skid plate... Any one have a tank skid plate that's NOT rusty?

Not any more!! I had it off, along with eberything else, so it got the POR15 treatment. I was amazed how nicely it cleaned up. Good for a few more years....
