OK soooooo after cleaning the back inside of the rim and all that so it would pass inspection...i took her in today! he didnt even say anything about the real axle seal but was like you need your rack and pinion replaced. at first i had to think twice about what he said cuz the way he said it so fast i thought he said MY RACK!!! LOL good thing i realized quickly what he said b/c he almost got donkey kicked in the gut!! ;-)
so anyways, he's like i really dont feel comfortable passing this, its unsafe blah blah blah. so what did i do??? i batted my blue eyes: and said please dont fail this, i just got a ticket for it being expired and wanna get it dropped, and plus I have friends that are working on it on the side and I will have them do it! We BS'd a minute about the tinkering I plan to do..... So then he says may i ask why such a small woman would want such a big truck? i laughed and looked at him like are you high!!!!? CUZ THIS SH*T IS FUN!!

So to sum that up... we should expect a new post about the steering rack in the next couple of months? or is it actually bad enough to expect an accident thread?

NO! not saying you are stupid at all. But some of "them" are stupid enough to think they can get away with such things when they see women walk through the door, especially when they seem to not be sure what might be wrong with their vehicle.

there is alot of oil on it. and he kept touching the bushings. but from the way he talked it sounded like i need the whole assembly replaced. but he was also kinda distracted, not sure why!
