Rear Axle Seals - Slight "bounce" when braking

Hey guys, wanted to see if I could get an idea from y'all about what I am looking at for repair. Just got a call from the shop, took it in to have rear brakes checked. Got a call that the rear axle seal is leaking.

I took my 96 4Runner in because of a slight "bounce" or "skip" under breaking. It is not bad but needs to be addressed. Also, have a slight roar at around 65 mph that I think is likely related.

Any ideas of cost associated with repair? Also do y'all think the two symptoms are related?

Yes, if it's leaking bad enough, you'll see the inside of the tire wet with oil. The brakes get saturated and if you let it go long enough, the rear diff will run out of oil. Rear Axle Seals - failure not uncommon

It sounds like you may have a bad wheel bearing which will cause a roaring sound. a bad bearing can generate more heat than normal which can cause the axle seal to go bad. a leaking axle seal will obviously leave gear oil in the in the drum brake area leading to brake shoe saturation.
