Rear Bumper compatibility question

Hello fellow 4runners. I'm new to this forum, but have harvested a wealth of information from the contributions. This site is awesome! Anyway, I've used the search function and can't seem to find what I'm looking for, so forgive me if I have overlooked it somewhere on here.

I have a 2wd stock 99 t4r. The rear bumper is smashed up. I found a 99 t4r in a salvage yard with an intact rear bumper. The one in the salvage yard is an SR5 with the sports package. Do you guys think that would fit mine? I've tried to search on images of the sports package and nothing looks too out of the ordinary, but I'm not 100% on this and am reaching out to the experts. Thanks!

Not 100% either, but I'm pretty sure the only difference between a standard bumper and a sport bumper is typically the stock one is chrome and the sport is color matched. Sport package has the color matched fender flares as well, which could be a nice addition if it's the same color as your Runner.

Thanks for the answer. I'm pretty sure you're right. I saw some with the matching bumpers and some without. Who knows if the ones without were really sport packages? Thanks again and I'm sure I can snag some other parts off of it when I check it out.

Paint versus chrome is the main difference...

And any that have larger flares like the limited and sport and some sr5.. will have 2 bolt holes in the side wings.

However any 96-02 rear bumper will physically fit and bolt up on yours.

This. Any issue is at the forward end of the side wings. I'm not sure if they are the same length because the painted are made to marry the larger flares. I'd love clarity on this because my next bumper I'd like to go from chrome (with no flares) to painted.
