The rear bumper cover on my 06 4Runner SR5 is sagging. There is a finger width gap between the cover and the rear quarter panel. I can see the clips where they have come loose. I can not seem to get the clips to catch when I lift the bumper cover. Is there an easy way to fix this or do I have to take it to a body shop? Ideas? Thanks!

Make sure the clip pad mounted on the body is still good. Usually when the plastic cover pulls off the tabs on the clip pad break and or weaken. Also make sure the loops on the plastic cover that go into the clip pad aren't cracked as they won't hold as well.
I have the same issue on my vehicle from when I nicked a Miata, I forgot to put a new clip pad in. But since I'm planning on doing a full metal bumper in the near future I just left it that way.
