Rear bumper removal

I really want to build a spare tire carrier like this one: Toyota 120 Platforms Forum - View Single Post - t4rman's build
What's involved in pulling off the bumper cover to get to the metal underneath it? Just a bunch of 10-12mm bolts? Anything to watch out for?? Drivable but ugly for a couple days during the build, if needed?

just a bunch of bolts like you say... totally legal and driveable as it's just the cover, not the actual bumper. looking forward to seeing what you design and build. good luck!

Yeah it's super easy. If you're confident you can build a tire carrier you should have the bumper off in less that 15 minutes.

Mostly confident... Plenty of ideas, and most of the tools to complete them...

Definitely easy. I took mine off this weekend and it only takes a few minutes. Just a bunch of bolts in pretty logical areas.
