Rear Bumper Repair Solution

Hello! I am new to the forum and I need some help. I broke my rear bumper couple days ago, I went to a collision shop yesterday, and they told me I have to replace the whole bumper. I am trying to find a way to fix it so I don't need to replace the whole bumper, is there any way for this bumper to be fixed without replacing it? Thanks for the help, here are some pictures. I am not sure what is that in the last picture. Please ignore all the human body parts, thank you for the help!

I would replace it. Chances are the collision also broke the 5 mph impact styrofoam bumper too.

This is a new TRD Pro. Replace that bumper unless you want a half assed eyesore on your new truck. I wouldn't even bother salvaging that if it was 20 years old.

You can keep the grey plastic pieces but you'll have to replace the full bumper cover. Not sure if the bumper comes with or without them because you could always buy those pieces separate if those were broken instead. Definitely get it checked out to see if anything else had been damaged. That'll be easy since the cover will be off. Like what was said before, you'll probably need a new styrofoam piece.

Replace it. I wouldn't cheap out slapping a quick and shoddy fix on a shiny new vehicle.

Nope, no way to repair that and make it look right. You can use colored duct tape, or colored epoxy, but it'll always look like duct tape or epoxy.

You can price a new plastic cover + paint to match, but for a few hundred extra dollars you can get a steel bumper that would look better and won't be so easy to break next time you do the same thing.

So you're telling me you spent the most amount of money you could possibly spend on a new 4Runner TRD Pro and you don't want to spend the money to fix it correctly? Do us all a favor and trade it in on a new Jeep.

Did about the same thing when backing up my trailer. The only thing is a replacement, Hopefully there is no damage to the mounting points.

file insurance claim and use the $$ for a new Shrockworks V2 rear bumper—even if insurance payout only partially covers the cost. you paid tippity-top dollar for a TRD Pro, which some would argue was needlessly expensive and foolish, but at least don't be senselessly cheap and foolish now.

Most of that damage would be unnoticeable. Once the cover is poped back on properly, would take me all of 15 minutes to get it back on.

The cracks will still be there but hardly noticeable. I would just do that and then go wheel it. The cover will get beat to shit anyway.

Then get a new cover for posing at the mall....

The problem is that CBI bumper is not high enough to reach the taillight, I called them before, they said i have to go to their shop make a custom one. Idaho is kind of too far from me.

I am just trying to get some ideas on how to fix it without replacing it, if there is no way to fix except replacing whole bumper, then I will definitelygo to replace it. I have money to replace the whole bumper, I feel like it's kind of waste if I replace the whole bumper at first time, I realize I have to replace the whole bumper, so i don't feel like that way now. I already bought it, and I love it, I am not going to trade it for anything in a few years. Just because I LOVE my truck. It means more to me than just a truck. I am new to all this things, still trying to learn.

OK, thanks for the advice, I don't know a lot about this kind of staff, still trying to learn. I am just trying to find the best solution, now, I know i have to replace it...........
