My powder coating chipped off in the same exact location as yours (left of the drop hitch).

Mine chips very easily and always rusts underneath which is what the zinc pre-coat should fix but doesn't. Eventually I'll get it powder coated locally. My local powder coater has zinc metalized then 2 stage powder coated matte black a front bumper and several small home made brackets and it won't rust....unless you drill a hole and then it only rusts inside the drilled hole.
