I need some help diagnosing an intermittent clicking noise. I have a 5 speed manual and I was doing some light off reading in the snow. After it was all said and done I got back on to the highway. When I got to a stop light I noticed a click noise that happened as I was slowing down. When the light turned green I engaged in first and heard the click again as the car started moving. It sounds like it is coming from the rear and is only one click at start and coming to a stop. I'm afraid it might be my diff which I will check out tomorrow. Could it be my u-joint possibly? Anyone heard a clicking noise and diagnosed it? Looking forward to hearing from all of you.
