Rear defroster hook up?

Today I replaced my back windshield on my 86 with one that has defroster wiring on it. I can see where the tabs for the electrical are supposed to go, but I'm not sure where they are or what the previous owner did to them. Does anyone know what color wire is supposed to come from where? Also when I hit the button for rear defrost, it does not light up.
