Rear Diff Identification Help

So I’m try to figure out what rear axle my 2007 4WD 4runner LTD has. I’ve tried to lookup the axle code which I believe is A01A but the answers I’m getting are all over the place. I blew up a spider gear in my rear diff and I’m looking at different options for repairs right now. But I need to identify what my gear ratio is and stuff. I thought I had a 8” rear diff but according to my door jam sticker it’s saying I have a 7.5” 2 pinion open diff. Any help is appreciated.

It looks like you have: 01 = 3.42, A = 2 Pinion, Open Diff?

It looks like you have: A = 138mm, 01 = 3.300,

Not sure if this is much help. I have searched around trying to identify my diff as well. Best of luck! See below for the Diff links I have found online. Not sure what you have or haven't seen already.

All 4wd 4Runners get the 8" rear diff w/ 3.73 gears.

If you have the gears removed you can you measure the diameter of the ring gear and figure out the ratio by spinning it by hand or counting teeth.

Yep,

All V8 4wd (AWD) 4runners have a turbo V6 axle housing, 8" ring gears front and rear, and 3.73 ratio.

(another way of checking gear ratio, jack up vehicle and spin tire one time. count the revolutions of the drive shaft. )

Best repair options,

A.) Eastcoastgearsupply.com (call for better service over the phone, 5 Year warranty, option to add locker; solid pinion spacer; etc.)

You can purchase the parts from them to rebuild yourself or have them build a complete third member and send your old one in for a core charge.

B.) Car-Parts.com (search local areas for a donor, most LKQ places offer warranties on the parts)

Yes, I believe that's correct from all I've heard. It's the V8 that only got the 3.73s for all years
