Rear E-locker quit!

Is there a common problem that will keep the E-locker from engaging? I threw in another black ABS computer (the box with the blue wire mod) still the same. The light just keeps blinking. What kind of readings am I supposed to get at the plug on the locker?

Basically you need to clean the actuator. It is a common problem and some have even bought a cable conversion.

Good point, could just be dirty. Here is the super-duper locker actuator cleaning thread.

JK, that's not the one I thought it was, looking for the right one...

Here it is. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=698966

Thanks guys, the Pirate4x4 by Green Truck is awesome. I'm gonna get on it now. Won't surprise me if it's full of muck sin e it spends a lot of time in water.

Before removing the actuator I shot power at it and didn't get any power whatsoever. Tried the other diff/lock ECU, no good. Also grounded the green/orange (spd sensor) wire to rule it out, still nothing. All voltages and grounds are correct at the diff/lock ECU. All in-cab & under-hood fuses have appropriate power on both sides. Switch is good 12v in and out when depressed.
This page mentions the HEATER RELAY http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/1996/SIL/techinfo.toyota.com/ileaf/02toyrm/02toypdf/02rmsour/2002/024runne/sa/dlsy/insp.pdf so I swapped it, no good still.

Is there another relay or fuse that I'm missing? Would someone mind engaging theirs and post the voltages at the rear connector? Thanks, I miss my locker!

Try applying 12v power to the motor leads itself. Listen to see if the motor moves to test if its the motor or not. Almost sounds like a wire is not connected or something else is stopping it in the equation. Its the non retro e-locker right? Meaning you gotta be in 4x4 etc for it to engage or did you do the bypass for it?

I would start tracing the wires after I applied voltage to the motor leads before I started going crazy ;p

On the motor lead of the 6 pin you'll see a Green red and Green by applying power to these you can turn your motor forward/reverse to see if it is the motor. Switch leads to turn it either direction. I would put a inline fuse in with one of the leads (use a 10a to protect the motor encase its 'stuck')

I've had the blue wire grounded for almost a year now, first mod. Today I checked it for continuity and it's still good so I went ahead and also grounded out the green/orange wire so that I could rule out my flakey speed sensor and not have to get down to 5mph anymore after the issue is resolved.

When applying power to the 6 pin connector, what do you use for ground? I'd try it right now but I'm on my way to sleep, work in 4hrs!

I cant find a wiring diagram for this system on my Hanes Manual or the online link previously posted. WTF?

They don't really post it =x

You dont need a ground for it, just take leads from a battery or even a charger, put a fuse in line of one of them to protect the motor encase its stuck. Touch the wires I was mentioning (GR and G) Here's a retro e-locker wiring diagram of the factory harness after it leaves the SUV to the connector on the locker...

E-locker retro link w/ wiring

I'll try to find a FSM diagram before work..
