Hi,
I was looking at a 1997 4Runner and the struts/shocks holding the rear hatch were all corroded. Is it hard and expensive to replace those? I know the front and rear bumpers were completely rusted but have been replaced. I also notice some rust on some of the components inside the engine compartment. I didn't look under the truck though, but of all places, there is one small rust spot on the driver's side rear door sill too. I'm thinking there's too much small rust here and there to get it. Just wondering what you guys think. I'm worried that the small bits and pieces of rust might become a big problem later. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to look underneath, but have you seen the rear bumper completely rust out, but the frame still be ok?
