So back in the summer I removed the rear heater core and flushed it out, the lines too as there was no heat coming from it. Lots of crud came out, put it all back, and Voila.. heat ! Great, all sorted for winter ! Switched the rear blower on today and WTH ?? cold air only. Oh Man, so today I removed it and flushed it out and put it all back, still no heat.
I let water run in one hole and it came out the other so no blockage I thought, I burped the system for about 15 mins, bubbles continued to come out.
My question is, has anyone replaced their rear heater core with a new one, or did burping the system cure the no heat problem from it ? If so how long are you burping for ?
I had heat back in the summer when I flushed it so it might just be an air lock ! This morning the "in" pipe at the heater core under the seat is hot, but the "out" pipe isn't, so it isn't getting thru due to rusted crud or an air lock ! Might be time for a new one.
