Rear height control air suspension

I have a 2005 4 runner limited and the rear end is stuck in the Hi position. It comes down a bit when the vehicle is stopped and you press the button to lower it but once you start travelling the rear end goes back to the very hi position. It also rides like a lumber wagon in this position. Any ideas on the cause and do I have to take it to a Toyota dealer or can they fix the problem at a regular auto repair outlet.

I think the problem is with hight adjustment sensors, I came across this issue before on this forum. They corrode with time and start to malfunction. You can replace sensors at Toyota dealership, I think they like $1000 but don't quote me on that. Alternately you can gut your air ride out and replace it with springs for about same price and never worry about it again.
I have XREAS and rear air on mine 2004 and when this will happen (and it will eventually) I will install OME or Toytec Ultimate lift kit.

Can we take the sensors off and clean them if they are corroded? Are they hard wired? Where are they located and is there a website to show the position?

For a temp fix, if you can get it lowered there is a fuse in the engine bay you can pull and it will disable the compressor.
