Rear Height Control Noise?

I just received my 4Runner last Wednesday, while trying out the rear height control, it sounds like a jack hammer when going from N (Normal) to H (High) is this normal?
Thanks,
Robert

The rear air suspension should be quiet, and definitely not sound like a jack hammer when you change the settings. Mine makes a click with muted metallic ring when the valve opens, a hissing sound as it expels air, and another click-muted ring when the valve closes. It hisses when the bladders get charged (turn on the ignition but not start the engine).

Thanks for the info Richie, my 4Runner is back at the dealership with just 51 miles on it!!! They have told me they don't know what the height control is supposed to sound like, they have never seen one until I got mine, it sounds just like a jack hammer when it is going from a lower position to a higher position. From what you're saying it sounds as though its not supposed to make much noise at all.
Thanks,
Robert

Problem appears to be solved, it looks like they forgot to tighten some bolts after putting on the hitch.
