Rear lift: necessary Vs. nice to have?

Forgive another post re: lifts, but I haven't been able to find exactly what i'm looking for.

Right now, I have the (cheap) rear 3" rough country coils and shocks. As you could imagine, after installing my new 4x innovations rear bumper, i've got quite a bit of sag. I plan on installing either the LC coils or ARB's. What I didn't realize when installing my lift is there is more that goes into a lift than just coils and shocks.

What is a need vs. a nice to have?

-) Adjustable Panhard Bar
-) Extended Break Lines
-) Bump stop adapters
-) Bump Stops
-) Parking / Emergency break bracket

I had OME 890's ( and the matching OME shocks) installed in the rear in July of 2013. I didn't...and haven't... had to extend the brake line, switch the panhard bar, lower the panhard bracket, or anything else on your list. I report, you decide.

Do you do a lot of off roading?

When you were researching & looked at Sonoral Steel or Toytec lift kits didn't you wonder why they came with all of those items?

-) Adjustable Panhard Bar
No. You do not need or want an adjustable panhard bar. Buy eimkeiths Panhard Correction Kit. It’s cheaper and actually corrects the issue instead of putting a bandaid on it.

-) Extended Brake Lines
Not needed but recommended. I’m not running them but I probably should.

-) Bump stop adapters
Yes. You want these is you have longer shocks. Without them, you can/will ruin your new shocks from over compressing the shock. There are a bunch of options for these. If money is an issue, you can make them for cheap using square tubing and longer bolts.

-) Bump Stops
Not if you have bump stop extensions or adapters as stated above. Upgraded bump stops are nice but not needed if you do what I mentioned above.

-) Parking / Emergency break bracket
Yes. You’ll need this. If you have access to a simple piece of metal and a drill, this is another one that’s extremely simple to make if money is an issue. If not, just buy one.

You can live without the Panhard drops/lifts. Drive and see how it feels.

You can bend the rear brake line bracket down to gain few inches of clearance.

If running over 3" lift like with lc coils you will need new longer shocks. Also lowered bump stops to avoid over compression and avoid popping a coil out.

I recommend longer 1st gen rear sway bar links. My moog have lasted multiple seasons.

I just disconnected my rear brake line bolt. But my parking brake is not the best.

You can also just buy another section of rear brake hose to extend the existing one if you don’t feel like bending your brake line bracket.

I run land cruiser tokico rear shocks with lc 8 wraps and eimkeith’s drop brackets. Initially I had to use ratchet straps to get the panhard bar to seat in place but it moved my axle over about .25” and It drove like shit imo. I don’t have any additional bumper weight... I’ve heard lc wraps don’t take kindly to a lot of weight in the back.

I'm running OME 861. Which give a lot of lift in the back. I do not have extended brake lines. Only stainless steel ones. And I bent the bracket down to get more slack. No adjustable panhard. Just Toytec panhard drop bracket.

I would like to get a extended brake line. But I haven't needed to. It only gets stretched when it's on the lift.

I guess you'll get mixed opinions on the panhard brackets, but if you understand suspension geometry- or have ever driven a 4R with the brackets installed- it will be a no-brainer that you need the brackets.
You can bend the upper brake line bracket down to eliminate the need for extended brake lines, but extended SS lines are definitely nice.
Bump stops should be setup according to the length of your shock. Ideally, cycle the suspension without any coils in there, and set the bump stops to hit before your shock "bottoms out".
I just ditched the parking brake cable bracket on the axle housing, and haven't had any issues. YMMV

I'd guess I've gone maybe 1 to 1.5K miles on dirt roads, mostly desert. Some smooth & graded, some with embedded rocks that have to be driven slowly. Nothing close to rock crawling.
