Rear main seal HELP

Hello fellow T4R members. I'm sure this is obvious for most, but I'm stuck! Trying to replace my rear main seal. 1999 T4R 3.4 5vz-fe. 4x4 Auto.

The fsm says to apply sealant as pictured in diagram. I attached it below. What is the A and B for?? Am I supposed to apply sealant differently where A and B are? Please help a brotha out. Thank you!

A and B are simply cross section views- looking at it from the side- you will want to run a bead of sealant all the way around putting the sealant in groove between the bolt holes as in A, and under the bolt holes as in B. Good luck!
