rear mud flap drama, common prob? fix suggestions

so just got done hunting, a few weekends of running around roads and one driver rear mud flap got tore off backing up, and the other rear is starting to look loose. i just left off the driver one but then it snowed and got muddy, that rear fender well area really filled up with mud and ice and snow.

it seems like on steep stuff or in sage country, the mudflap gets pushed up against tire when in reverse and then gets ripped off by tire,,,, any after market things that help?

might just trim slap so it is shorter, ideas, anyone have similiar probs?

Revtek makes a rear mud flap delete for 5th gens. Runs about $40 and fills that empty space. I have it on mine and love the look.

I went to AutoZone and bought a replacement 18-wheeler mudflap, trimmed it to the size of our wheel well liner/hard plastic mudflap, and screwed it right in for a "deleted" mud flap look.

Look in my build thread, pretty early on, and it is super easy and cheap. Haven't had any issues since installing them, and that was almost 5 years ago at this point. Nobody knows the difference, and the mud/dirt/spray/etc is all kept from entering the inside/underneath of my body/frame.
