Rear spring spacer not seating properly

Trying to install the 1/2" rear spring spacer from Dobinson's on top of my driver's side rear spring, but having an issue getting them to seat together. Spacer is oriented properly with raised area in the center of the spacer down.

I'm attempting to jack the passenger's side to get the clearance needed to make adjustments, but, even when getting it all lined up properly and holding it carefully in place when lowering the pass side it comes out uneven as pictured. Have tried multiple times. Shocks still off and sway bar links are disconnected on both sides as well.

well, talked to Dobinson's and they suggest getting a spring compressor and compressing the rear spring to get it in position and then slowly releasing compression into the bottom of the spacer, and not doing it by jacking the pass side of the axle.

You shouldn't need a spring compressor for a 1/2" spacer unless you're trying to put it on top of some lift springs. I installed 1-1/2" lift coils with no compressor, so there's definitely room for stock plus 1/2". One thing you might try is use some duct or packing tape to hold the spacer in place while you get the coils in there.

Did you figure it out? I would have used some tape as well to hold it in place.
