Rear Springs: ICON 3" Overland or All Pro 3.5"?

Hey guys,

Right now I am running the ICON 2.0 Shocks in back with the 2" Coils.

The storage system for my 4Runner should be done in the next week or so and I'm thinking all packed down with gear and whatnot, the back might sag. I am thinking about getting an aftermarket rear bumper as well. If I do that, it will definitely sag.

My question is which rear springs to go with. The Icons or the All Pros?

I find the new Icon springs very appealing. If you have a lot of weight and adding more the new Icons will be the way to go.

Metaltech rear springs work we'll for me I have a CBI rear bumper and had it loaded with about 300# and it rode great with no sag
I had the all pro 3.5 springs also but the bilsteins couldn't slow the rebound of all the weight
You should be good with the icon shocks

I just installed the Icon Overland springs without my CBI rear bumper yet, and I can say with confidence these are way to stiff for daily driving without weight in the back. They also gave me about a 3-4 inch lift, so the rake is super noticeable.

However, with that said, once the CBI bumper is put on these springs should be puuurfect.

You won't be loaded all the time will you?

If not, you might want to check out some air bags to use as over loads. Shouldn't effect anything else when aired down and you could use the compressor for other stuff too.

Overland will be stiff w/ no weight, your storage loaded up will tone them down and adding a bumper will for sure.

I have a little too much bounce but probably need to change the shocks.

Rear bumper dropped me .5-.75".

W/out the rear bumper, horse trailer and 1 horse(approx. 4100lbs total) and loaded down with gear leveled it and was a smooth ride, no bounce. W/out weight distribution hitch.

Have you considered the Metaltech 3" LT springs. Very similar to the Icon overland springs just overall longer if you ever want to do a long travel rear setup. The load carrying portion of the MT 3" springs is #300. i run the medium rated 2" springs with a #250 lower rate and a #105 top rate, they ride amazing with my icon vs2.0's and i carry ~200lbs or so with little to no rear sag, i also tow with them with maybe 1/2"-3/4" at most of squat with a ~400lb tongue weight trailer

I'm planning to get those 3" LT springs for the extra height while hopefully still riding nice, and eventually supporting a rear bumper. Also, I have 700# front springs so I'm thinking they will match those better.
