Rear Storage & Leveling Platform

Just added a storage and sleeping platform to my 2023 OR, inspired by Antman, mscot, and others. Prior to building the platform, I removed the factory carpet and foam and installed a layer of sound dampening, with a layer of black trunk carpet on top of that. Really happy with the results as shown below.

Notable features of the platform include covering it with a layer of rubber (non-slip, gym type) matting about 0.1" thick and installing stair nosing trim along the edge of the platform to protect against bumps and scratches.

good job, looks OEM.

Looks really good and clean. Especially like the added tool storage.

Did/do you have 3rd row seats? I'm debating removing my 3rd row seats to get a little more storage and doing something like this.

Really like this! Can't quite see - is your platform/frame secured to the car in any way?

Thanks! Yes - the platform is secured to the 4Runner at a couple of different locations:

1) Bolted down to the two factory bolt locations just behind the rear seats, and

2) Screwed down to the body with self-tapping screws, located toward the hatch.

These might not be the greatest explanations...I'll try to remember to snap a couple of photos and post them.
