Rear Tonneau Cover?

I recently purchase a 2010 4Runner SR5 (Magnetic Gray / Graphite). Yes...I will post pictures soon.

I'd like to find out if anyone has ordered a rear tonneau cover for the rear cargo area. There are the attachment points, but when I went to order the cover, the dealer didn't have any information on it. They did have the crossbars, but no rear tonneau cover.

Also...is this a Toyota thing, but when I leave the lights on, no buzzer?

I love my new 4Runner. Drives great, looks and feels great!

That was one of my biggest surprises when I got my Rav4. I leave the light on and there's no buzzer. I guess they decided that it was not necessary since the lights will automatically turn off after like 15 seconds or so.

Oh, and in Canada, all models of the 2010 4Runner other than the base SR5 model have tonneau cover. I think they really should include it in all models. My Rav4 didn't have one, and I went back to the dealer a month later and asked the salesman if I can have a tonneau cover and to my surprise, he gave it to me...free!

Mine came with the rear cover (did not want it but they threw it in anyway), what do you want to know specifically about it? I can take some photos later and post them if you want? Just let me know how I can help :cheers:

Tonneau Cover

I also have a 2010 MAgnetic gray with graphite leather interior that didn't come with the tonneau cover, I haven't found anywhere to purchase one yet. My dealer told me that they can't even purchase them yet. They told me that it would be after the first of the year before they can order them.

So who wants to buy mine! :pimp: I guess they are only coming with them from the factory.
 
I was just wondering if anyone had been able to order one yet or if I did come with your 4Runner when you purchased it.

I have yet to try out the 15 second thing wth my 4Runner...I'll have to try it out later tonight.
 
Cargo cover

My dealer got me one for about $130. He said the warehouse showed quite a few in stock.

Yeah, but wouldn't people be able to see that you have something in your cargo area? The reason I like the tonneau cover is that when it's closed, people can't tell if there is anything there or not, so less likely for them to break in to see if there is anything there. With the fleece blanket, they can see that something's there, just not what it is, unless you found a way to hang it so that it's not just lying on top of whatever you have in there.

Don't know if you're still looking, but I ordered one from my dealer and it is on back order.

Part No: PT311-89100 Int Tonneau Cover.

Should be in soon.
 
Even if I had one I probably wouldn't use it much. I've always got something oversized, or odd sized, and honestly it would most likely just get in the way. The interior of mine hides most things pretty well, and I don't generally leave a whole lot of stuff in my T4R anyhow.


What I'm still waiting on is the bug deflector!

My dealer said they couldn't get one, but I found a new one on E-Bay, ordered it, and had it in under a week. Fits & looks perfect.

I ordered one from my dealer when I picked up my car 2 weeks ago. It came in last week, but I haven't been back to pick it up. The more I think about it, the more I don't think I will. The back windows are pretty dark already and you really can't see in them.
